Jonathan Savage

Biography

  on studied at the University of Kent at Canterbury in the United Kingdom, graduating in 1981 with an honours degree in human movement studies. He followed this by studying physiotherapy at the Leeds School of Physiotherapy (currently known as Leeds Metropolitan University), qualifying in 1989, and has since worked in both the National Health Service and private practice, developing a strong interest in manual therapy, neuromusculoskeletal dysfunction and sports injury rehabilitation. Jon had worked with professional and amateur teams including Huddersfield Giants and Bradford Bulls Rugby League Football Clubs, Old Crossleyans Rugby Union Football Club, and Sheffield Wednesday Football Club Academy. He had also worked with the Northern Ballet Theatre Limited. Since moving to Hong Kong in 2006, Jon has worked as part of the physiotherapy team at the HKFC Rugby 10’s and Soccer 7’s events. He has also worked for Kowloon RUFC in the HKRFU 1st Division during the 2007 / 2008 season. In June 2008 Jon completed Clinical Pilates Level 1-4 training under the tuition of Craig Phillips. Jon has played football to county and college representative level, and squash in the Yorkshire and North West counties premier leagues. Jon is also a keen golfer and has a great interest in golf injury rehabilitation and prevention for golfers of all ages and levels.
