Biography
Benny Chow, Director of Sustainability at Aedas, is an award-winning sustainable design expert with worldwide project experience and the Energy Group Leader of ASHRAE (Hong Kong Chapter), USGBC LEED International Roundtable Representative, LEED AP BD+C (USGBC), China Green Building Council Expert Panel Member (Building Physics), appointed as the Member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Industry Standards and Practices Committee (ISPC), and GB Faculty of the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC), a BEAM Plus Professional (NB, EB, BI & ND). As the Director of Sustainability at Aedas, Dr. Chow brings with him more than 21 years of experience in Sustainable Design specializing in computer modeling and analysis, urban wind environment, solar heat gain calculations, global daylight illumination simulation, building energy modeling, and air ventilation assessment using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), which strongly strengthened the architectural concept and designs of more than 400+ projects located in 40+ cities that he has worked on. Dr. Chow is currently serving as the Adjunct Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Medicine at CUHK focusing on the study of nosocomial infectious diseases control and prevention in clinical settings, and was the Honorary Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at University of Hong Kong (HKU) and the Adjunct Associate Professor in the Center for Housing Innovations at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).

Building aerodynamics, Environmental and Sustainable Designs, Building Performance Simulations, and Design of Isolation Ward for Reducing Airborne Infection in Common Clinical Settings.
