Fan Weijun

Biography

Prof. Fan Weijun has been working in the Department of Imaging and Minimally Invasive Surgery, Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center since 1999. He currently serves as Chief Physician in the Department of Imaging and Minimally Invasive Surgery, Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center and advisor of master’s degree student. He primarily engages himself in imaging diagnosis and interventional treatment for cancer, specializes in imaging diagnosis and interventional treatment for various cancers, and particularly, owns an in-depth research on the treatment of cancer with microwave and radiology, and conducts large numbers of basic and clinical research. He has published 31 papers as the first author or corresponding author, including 6 SCI papers, 15 papers in domestic magazines and has edited or participated in compiling 5 academic monographs. Specifically, he serves as the editor in chief of Clinical Oncology,Minimal Invasive Treatment and associate editor in chief of Multidisciplinary Compositive Treatment of Liver Cancer and Interventional Diagnosis and Treatment in Oncology, and took part in writing Neuroimaging, Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma and Helical CT Diagnosis. He is at present undertaking a number of subjects with Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Health Department of Guangdong Province and Science and Information Technology of Guangzhou, gets involved in National Key Technologies R&D Program of China during the 9th Five-Year Plan Period, 211 Project, key disciplinary construction of cancer and other research projects.
