Biography
Dr. Zhang Zhiling is proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of urologic neoplasms, including renal cell carcinoma, adrenal tumor, bladder cancer, prostatic cancer and testicular cancer. He specializes in partial nephrectomy, cryoablation and enucleation for small renal cell carcinoma, which can maximize the preservation of renal function. He also has great interests in combination therapy for advanced renal carcinoma as well as minimally invasive treatment for renal carcinoma, bladder cancer and adrenal tumor. He acted as a visiting scholar in Cleveland Clinic in 2014 and focused on the research and practice of renal cancer. He has been to the United States, South Korea, Hong Kong and Macau for academic exchange and repeatedly attended domestic and foreign academic conferences to introduce the abundant experience in diagnosis and treatment for urologic neoplasms of Department of Urology, Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center. He has published several peer reviewed articles on renal cancer.
Research Interest
Pathogenesis and pathogeny of urologic neoplasms. Zhang Zhiling takes tremendous interest in the kidney-sparing surgery for early renal carcinoma and the targeted therapy for advanced renal carcinoma. He has presided over a multitude of international multi-center clinical trials in relation to renal carcinoma targeted therapy and accumulated rich experience in the combination therapy for renal carcinoma.
