Biography
Dr. Zhenfeng Zhang is a professor of Radiology at the Center of Medical Imaging and Image-guided Therapy of Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center (SYSUCC). Dr. Zhang obtained his Bachelor in Medicine (equivalent to MD in the US) at Three Gorges University College of Medical Science, Hubei, P. R. China in 1992 and PhD at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, USA in 2010, respectively. His postdoctoral training at Case Western Reserve University and Columbia University Medical Center provided him with great opportunities to explore the fields of tumor biology, tumor metastasis, and drug resistance of EGFR-targeted therapy for lung cancer. He returned the Center of Medical Imaging and Image-guided Therapy at SYSUCC as a physician-scientist in March 2013, and established a molecular imaging lab focusing on CT/MRI molecular imaging studies. Dr. Zhang has published more than 10 peer reviewed research papers in Nature Genetics, Oncotarget, Carcinogenesis, et. al.
