Biography
Dr. CHEN Gang holds a PhD in Decision Sciences and Managerial Economics from Chinese University of Hong Kong, as well as a BA and a MPhil in Finance from Sun Yat-sen University. He was educated in Sloan School of Management in Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Lingnan, he was a senior research associate of City University of Hong Kong. He currently delivers lectures to undergraduate, graduate, and MBA students on operations management, simulation in logistics, etc. His research papers appeared in international and national academic journals, such as Operations Research and Transportation Science. He led R&D projects, such as Strategic Development of Zhuhai Airport, the 4th Party Logistics Platform in Guangzhou, and Development of e-Service Description Language, and he also contributed to a variety of research projects. His current interests cover airfreight shipment planning, air space resource planning, airfreight monitoring, aircraft maintanence scheduling, transshipment hub selection, logistics e-service, electronic collaboration, operations optimization in AR/RS.
