Biography
Haibin Luo, Professor, Vice Dean, and Associate director of Structural Biology Laboratory. He received his bachelor degree in chemistry from Xiamen University in 1999, followed by the Ph.D. degree in analytical and computational chemistry from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2005. After one year for the postdoctoral research, he joined School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Sun Yat-sen University via the "Hundred Talents Program" and served as an associate professor in December, 2006. After five years, he was promoted to professor in 2011 and was appointed as the Assistant to Dean in 2012. For the recent years, he was mainly engaged in drug design focusing on Alzheimer's, diabetes, asthma, male dysfunction, and structural biology. Since 2007, he has received several financial supports from such as National Natural Science Foundation of China, Guangdong Natural Science Foundation of China, Doctoral Fund of Ministry of Education, Science Foundation of Guangzhou city, “Outstanding young scientist program” of Sun Yat-sen University. To date, he has published more than 50 articles (SCI or EI, such as Cell, Plant Cell, J Med Chem, Org Lett, J Chem Info Model, PLoS ONE, J Phys Chem, FEBS Lett, J Struct Biol, and Bioorg Med Chem Lett).
