Biography
Her interests include politics and ethical thoughts of Aristotle, as well as contemporary moral and political philosophy such as the Carl Schmitt, Leo Strauss, Hannah Arendt and John Pocock’s political thoughts. She was graduated from Renmin University of China and took her joint doctoral training at Department of Philosophy Northwestern University under the guidance of Prof. Richard Kraut. Her topic of doctoral dissertation is “Three Modern Interpretations of Aristotle’s Political Thoughts”. She is currently doing her post-doctoral research about Aristotle’s narratives of political friendship(philia politike),focused on how Aristotle’s notions of political friendship can give insights into bridging the gap between individual autonomy and common good at Department of Philosophy(Zhuhai) Sun Yat-sen University.
