Huichang Bi

Biography

Huichang Bi, Associate Professor. Dr. Bi joined the Laboratory of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics in 2007. She received BS degree in Pharmacy from China Pharmaceutical University and PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Sun Yat-sen University. She has 5-year experience in pharmaceutical industry. In 2011, she worked at the Lab of Metabolism of National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health, USA as a visiting scholar. Dr. Bi has a continuous interest in pharmaco-metabolomics, tumor metabolomics, and pharmacokinetics. Currently, she focuses on evidence-based evaluation of safety and efficacy for herbal medicine, and herb-drug interactions. Dr. Bi's research also extends to the areas of metabolomics-based tumor cell metabolism. Till now, she has been awarded 8 grants as PI and has supported with more than 1 million funding. She has authored more than 50 papers in peer-reviewed journals. And she has edited 2 books and authored 3 book chapters.
