Biography
Jianmin Jiang, Associate Professor of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. Dr. Jiang received BS degree in 1993, and MS in 1996 (in cardiovascular pharmacology, Supervisor: Prof. DAI Dezai, MD) from China Pharmaceutical University. In 1999, She received PhD degree (in natural product pharmacology, Supervisor: Prof. XU Shibo) from Sun Yat-sen University. Dr. Jiang worked at Department of Biochemistry, Chinese University of Hong Kong for a short term in 2000. She received post-doctorial training sponsored by American Heart Association and NIH at the Department of Cardiology, University of Connecticut Health Centre in USA in 2003-2005. She is a co-instructor of a China-Canada Joint Health Research Program (NSFC-CIHR).
Research Interest
Her research interests include: 1. TRP channels and calcium signaling mechanisms in cardiac fibrogenesis and tumor metastasis; 2. Pharmacological research and evaluation of new drugs.
