Biography
Li Liangping studied medicine at Hengyang Medical School, Hunan Province (1977-1982) and tumor biology at Cancer Institute, Sun Yat-sen University of Medicine (1985-1988) and tumor immunology at the Blankenstein group (Molecular Immunology and Gene Therapy) of MDC / Universitätsklinikum Medizinische Fakultät Charité, Der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Germany (1994-1999). Under the supervision of Thomas Blankenstein he carried out studies of “Establishment of conditional immortalization system for human cells with retroviral vector of LoxP-flanked SV40 large T antigen and Cre recombinase and immortalization of primary culture of human normal mammary epithelial cells and carcinoma” for his thesis of doctoral degree. During 2000-2010, at the Molecular Immunology and Gene therapy, Max Delbruck Center for Molecular Medicine, Dr. Li and colleagues successfully transfer huge human T cell receptor loci (800-1100 kb) to mice genome and to generate and analyze T cell receptor loci transgenic mice and the results were published at Nature Medicine (2010) and Nature Protocol (2013). 2011-now: back to SYSU and established own research group and set up transgenic center for SYSU. In 2013 he successfully organized TT2013 international transgenic workshop.
