Biography
Lin Jiang, MD, Associate Professor, the head of Biotechnology laboratory for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in Guangdong Technology Research Center for Advanced Chinese Medicine (GDACM). He received MS degree from Chinese Academy of Sciences, MD degree from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. He did his postdoc at Sun Yat-sen University. He was supported by “the Hundred Talents Program of Sun Yat-sen University” in 2007, participated in researches conducted in South China Institute of Botany in Chinese Academy of Science, Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, and Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hong Kong Baptist University. His research interest covers the area of Natural Medicine Resources. He has directed the program of “The resource mining, protection and development of the Genuine TCM, Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae in Xinhui, Guangdong” raised by National “Eleventh Five-Year” scientific and technological support projects. He has also been awarded a wide range of provincial grants for the programs including the standardized production of Rhizoma Alpiniae Officinarum, Radix Morindae Officinalis, Fructus Citri Sarcodactylis in Guangdong Province, and Fructus Anisi Stellati, Corydalis saxicola Bunting, Camptotheca acuminata, Herba Sarcandrae, Mucuna cochinchinesis in Guangxi Province. Until recently, he has published 45 peer reviewed papers, of which four included in SCI journals, one in EI and ICIP journal each, and owns 2 patents. He has won second prizes of Natural Science Award from Chinese Academy of Science and from Guangdong Provincial Government in 1994 and 1999, respectively.
