Biography
Ming Yan, Professor of medicinal chemistry, director of Institute of Drug Synthesis and Pharmaceutical Process. He graduated from the Department of Chemistry, Sichuan University in 1987, and received his master degree from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, West China University of Medical Sciences in 1992. He earned his doctor degree from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1997. He pursued the postdoctoral research in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 1997-2000. Then he was a visiting scholar in University of Arizona, USA from 2001-2003. His major research interests include new asymmetric reactions, synthesis of chiral drugs, green manufacture process of drugs, and development of new antibacterial agents. He has published more than 50 papers in peer-review international journals, such as J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Organic Letters, J. Org. Chem., Chemical Communications, Adv. Synth. Catal., Chem. Bio. Drug. Design,Arch. Pharm. Chem. Life Sci.; Tetrahedron, Tetrahedron Letters, Tetrahdron: Asymmetry. His publications were cited more than 450 times by international researchers.
