Biography
Ruibo Wu, Associate Professor in Quantum Medicinal Chemistry. He recieved MS and PhD degrees from Xiamen University in 2006 and 2010. He was a post-doc fellow in New York University (NYU) in 2010-2012. He joined in School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Sun Yat-Sen University in 2012. His research interests focus on the state-of-the-art combined quantum mechanics/molecular mechanics (QM/MM) method and its applications in medicinal chemistry, including: (1)The inner chemical mechanism of histone epigenetic modifications and the transition-state mimic inhibitor design for Histone Deacetylases (HDAC) and Histone Demethylase (HDT); (2)The substrate specificity and hydrolysis mechanism of Nucleoside Hydrolase and Phosphodiesterase. (3) Investigating the synthesis mechanism of bio-active skeleton-novel nature product by employing quantum mechanical calculation. (4) Developing Zinc protein force field based on QM/MM force matching method.
