Xianzhang Bu

Biography

Xianzhang Bu,Professor in Medicinal Chemistry. Prof. Bu obtained his BS and MS degree in 1994 and 1997 respectively from Wuhan University, and gained the PhD from Sun Yat-Sen University in 2000. He was a research associate in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology during 2001-2002 and 2002-2003. He became a faculty member of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Sun Yat-sen University since 2003 and became a full professor in 2009.He is an experienced medicinal chemist, devoting his time to the medicinal peptide chemistry, natural product based drug design and malignant diseases relevant signal network targeted drug and probe design. He was a principal investigator funded by several research programs including projects from NSFC and National 863 program from the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. He has published more than 50 scientific papers in the leading journals in the fields of medicinal chemistry.
