Biography
Dr. Yu Yihsoong was born and grew up in Malaysia and now is the associate research of Sun Yat-Sen University. His main study is traditional Chinese political thoughts. He finished his Bachelor and Master degrees both in Taiwan Chengchi University, with profession of Political Science and of History respetively, and his Doctoral degree is finished in China Sun-Yat-Sen University with profession of Chinese Philosophy. He had won the top three students award several times in Bachelor program, and also the Chenbainian academic prize in two terms. He had taken part in the Digital-Humanity research team which is under the leadership of Prof. Jin Guantao and Prof. Liu Qingfeng. His supervisor in Doctoral program is Prof. Chen Shaoming. He had published one paper in the very influential China journal “Open Times”, and been chosen as school representative speaker in “Young School Philosophy Forum of Five School in North and South”. Beside the academic career, he had also participated in the social activities that he served as the book editor for works of the Malaysian Congress Member Liew Chin Tong, and had also been the column writer of a Malaysian commentary website “Promethean Fire Review”.
