Biography
Yuehong Xu, MD, Associate Professor in pharmaceutics, director of Experiment Teaching Center of pharmacy school and associate director of department of pharmaceutics. After she graduated from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University in 1997, she has been working in Sun Yat-sen University for teaching and research. She received MD degree from Shanghai University of Chinese Traditional Medicine in 2002, worked as a postdoctoral fellow for two years in Guangzhou university of Chinese Traditional Medicine, and worked as a visiting scholar in the University of Texas at Austin for one year. As a researcher with experience in pharmaceutical formulation design and Chinese pharmaceutical law and regulations, she cooperated with the pharmaceutical companies and got 5 drug approval numbers for manufacturing or clinical test. Within recent 5 years, she has published 20 or so papers and applied 5 patents and got 3 authorized.
Research Interest
Dr. Xu’s research has focused on: (1) the new formulation development and delivery of anti-cancer drugs by a variety of technologies including liposome and targeting delivery; (2) topical and transdermal drug delivery and (3) delivery system design of Chinese Traditional Medicine and in vivo research.
