Biography
Zhiyong Xie, Associate Professor, Assistant to the Dean. He received BS degree in pharmacy from Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1997 and PhD degree in pharmaceutical analysis from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University in 2005. He was a visiting scholar at University of Toronto for one year in 2011-2012. From 1997 to 2000, he worked as a clinical pharmacist at the Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University; meanwhile, he was also a teacher at the School of Pharmacy, Central South University. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2008. In the year 2007 and 2009, he worked as the project director at Guangdong Provincial Department of Science & Technology and China National Center for Biotechnology Development, the Ministry of Science & Technology of the People´s Republic of China, respectively. His main research interests include the new drug evaluation (ADME/T, pharmaceutical analysis & quality assessment) and the modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine (pharmacokinetics and compatibility of TCM). Recently, he has published over 50 scientific papers.
