Biography
Xianbo Zhou is a professor in Economics at Lingnan College,SunYat-sen University. His research focuses on econometric theory and its applications. Zhou is particularly interested in the semiparametric and nonparametric estimation of Tobit models and other models with limited dependent variables. His recent research projects also include application of the field to empirical studies on labor economics, e.g. in analyzing the effect of social capital on rural migrants’ income in China, the effect of information incompleteness on workers’ wage, and the relationship between labor supply and health for the elderly in rural China.
