Biography
Dr. Xingwang ZHOU is a full professor working at Sun Yat-sen University Zhongshan Medical School（M.S. and Ph.D. student Supervisor in the field of Pharmacology and Biochemistry) . Dr ZHOU got his Ph.D. degree in Xiamen University (China). During 1995-2000, Zhou was a faculty member in the department of biochemistry within Xiamen University. After that, Zhou conducted biomedical training at Johns Hopkins University Medical institution and University of Maryland School of Medicine in the U.S. for more than seven years. Before he got back to China in 2008, he hold a faculty appointment at the University of Maryland in the US. Currently, he is a full professor and a Principle Investigator (PI) in Sun Yat-Sen University Zhongshan Medical School.
Research Interest
The research interest in Dr ZHOU's lab mainly lies in the prevention and treatment of human infectious diseases/cardiovascular diseases by using novel integrated approaches including systems biology/proteomics, molecular cell biology, molecular pharmacology, and pathologic animal models.
