Zhou Yi

Biography

Zhou Yi is currently working as associate professor, master supervisor. He obtained a bachelor degree in computer science from Xi'an University of Technology in 1996, and a master and PhD degree of medical informatics from the Sun Yat-sen University in 2002 and 2007 respectively. He is secretary in department of Biomedical Engineering and Computer Center of Zhongshan School of Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University; mentor of medical students of long schooling system (8 years of clinical medicine). He is also the deputy director in Science & Technology Office of Sun Yat-sen University.He has done many research works in the research of seizures prediction and lesion localization by analyzing brain waves characteristic index of epilepsy patients. He has presided over 13 research project, taken part in more than 10 research project, published more than 70 papers, involved in writing 7 books or teaching materials, translate 1 book with others. His social position include (but not limited to) : Standing Committee Member of China Hospital Information Management Association，Deputy Chairman of Hospital Information Management Association of Guangdong Province，Senior member of Chinese Medical Informatics Association，Associate researcher of Guangdong Modern Hospital Management Institute; Member of editorial board of China Digital Medicine，Member of editorial board of Journal of Medical Information。

Research Interest

His research work include development and design of medical information systems, hospital management and clinical research based on information systems, medical informatics standard applications, electronic medical records(EMR) and electronic health records(EHR), and regional health information technology. At the same time, he has interested in EEG analysis and brain-computer interfaces, especially on theories and methods of nonlinear dynamics of neural science.
