Zuanguang Chen

Biography

Zuanguang Chen, Professor in pharmaceutical analysis, director of the Institute of Analytical Instruments, and the member of Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. He received PhD and BS degrees in analytical chemistry from Sun Yat-sen University in 2000 and 1982 respectively, and worked in China Agricultural University, Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences, and Sun Yat-sen University respectively. Since 2009, he was appointed as professor in pharmaceutical analysis, and the director of the Institute of Analytical Instrument. His present research is concerned with capillary electrophoresis, microfluidic chip system and their application in pharmaceutical analysis and drug screening. In these years, he has taken charge 4 projects from National Natural Science Foundation of China and 2 projects from Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Project, and published 120 papers in relative fields. Based on his scientific achievements, he was awarded a Prize of Science and Technology from Guangdong Provincial Government.
