Biography
Tong Shi, Ph. D. Pharm. D. has led research to understand the pathogenesis of a variety of immune-related diseases and to develop new therapeutics. He is currently working at Seaside Therapeutics engaging in the research effort on drug development and hematopoiesis. Prior to that, he was working on drug discovery targeting colorectal cancer. He accomplished his post doctoral training at Harvard Medical School, where he was one among the first researchers who proposed the functions of basophils in the maintenance of Th1/Th2 cell balance. He also visited Australia, where he discovered a novel mechanism of autoimmune-mediated thrombosis. He has published several pioneering studies in peer-reviewed journals.
