Biography
Randall Hancock is the co-founder and Managing Director of The China Greentech Initiative (CGTI). Hancock brings two decades of experience leading, managing and participating in strategic research, consulting and information organizations. Previously he was the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Global Research for Institutional Shareholder Services, the world’s leading proxy advisory firm, where he also managed the firm’s international (including Asian) offices. His experience also includes founding and leading the IBM Institute for Business Value (IBV), IBM’s global business thought leadership development group, with research teams based in Asia, Australia, Europe and North America. Previously he led the research and consulting businesses at Mainspring, a venture-backed eStrategy professional services firm acquired by IBM in 2001. He also founded and led the Gemini Strategic Research Group, now part of Cap Gemini, was a strategy consultant for the MAC Group, and a financial analyst in the corporate finance group at Smith Barney. He graduated with Distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and has an A.B. in economics from Harvard University.
