Biography
Wang Xi-Shu is a Professor in Department of Aerospace Engineering at Tsinghua University, China.
Research Interest
His research interests focus mainly on the mechanical behaviors and damage mechanism (fatigue, creep, cracking, corrosion behavior and countermeasure etc) of materials (biomaterials) in either macro scale or micro-meso scale, including to the relationship between the microstructure and mechanical behaviors (damage mechanism) in both simulation or modeling and experimental researches as well as bionics. The main aim to assess and describe the characterizations of the material mechanics, such as effects of inclusion, hole and the second phase in multi-nano/micro scale, interface effect in coating/substrate and cracking contribution of the inclusions etc.. He has authored or co-authored more than 170 international journals’ papers and has four books.
