Biography
Wei-Xi Huang is an Associate Professor in Department of Aerospace Engineering at Tsinghua University, China.
Research Interest
Prof. Huang’s current research focus is on numerical study of turbulence control and development of novel schemes for turbulent drag reduction for applications in aerospace engineering. To be more specific, he studies turbulent boundary layer with compliant coatings and active wall motions for drag reduction. Prof. Huang is also interested in computational biofluid mechanics. He has been developing computational methods for fluid-flexible body interactions, with the goal of simulating and obtaining physical insight into problems from biomechanics, e.g. 2D and 3D flag-in-wind problems, energy harvesting eel, swimming jellyfish, deformation of blood cells in shear flows, etc.
