Biography

Prof. Federico Rosei is currently UNESCO Chair in Materials and Technologies for Energy Conversion, Saving and Storages, Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and Member of the European Academy of Science. His main research interests involve the growth of semiconductor nanostructures, applications of novel nanooptoelectronics, photovoltaic materials and devices. He has published more than 160 SCI papers: 2 papers in top journals: Nature and Science, and more than 40 papers in other high impact journals such as Adv. Materials, Phy. Rev. Lett., Nano Lett., JACS, Angew.Chem., PNAS and so on. Prof. Federico Rosei has won 26 various honors and awards. At the same time, he was invited to give 152 presentations(including Plenary/Keynote reports) in International Conferences and serve as members of the International Advisory Committee (more than 21 times). He has also written 7 chapters for books and is now the executive editor of Applied Surface Science, associated editor of Journal of Materials Chemistry C. In addition, he is also the Fellow of Engineering Institute of Canada, Fellow of the Australian Institute of Physics, Fellow of AAAS, Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Fellow of the Institute of Physics, Fellow of the Institute of Nanotechnology. As well, he was awarded the Rutherford Memorial Medal and Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel award.
