Biography
In 2008 I joined the School of Optoelectronic Information, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, one of the top research-led Universities in China, where I was appointed to an Associate Professor in 2009. In 2011 I joined the Centre for Ultrahigh Bandwidth Devices for Optical Systems (CUDOS) at University of Sydney (Australia) as a visiting scientist. In 2013 I joined the Aston Institute of Photonic Technologies (AIPT) at the Aston University (UK) as a Marie Curie International Incoming Fellow funded by the European Commission's Seventh Framework Program (FP7). I have been mainly researching in the area of mid-IR fiber lasers, nonlinear optics, fiber sensing technologies and published over 100 papers in peer-review journals and international conferences, co-edited two books and owned 2 patents.
