Biography
He was born in Chengdu, Sichuan province in Dec., 1970. He got an M.S. degree in Physical Chemistry from Sichuan University (SCU) in 1995, and a Ph.D. degree in Microelectronics & Solid State Electronics from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in 2002,respectively. Since Aug. 2007, he has been holding a professorship in Electronic Information Materials & devices. He has been to the University of Cambridge as a visiting scientist and the University of Nottingham as a research associate for one year, working on nano-composite electrodes for supercapatteries, and was a post-doc within the Centre of Nanomaterials at the University of Southampton in 2007. Since Jan. 2014, he has been a vice chair of the School of Energy Science and Engineering, and leading the Centre for Advanced Electric Energy Technologies(CAEET),which particularly intends to develop innovative solutions to renewable energy sources for supportable Low Carbon Economy, such as thin film solar cells for electricity plants, and supercapatteries for electric vehicles and energy storage. Currently, He holds memberships of IEEE, MRS, C-MRS, ISSSI, ASSSI, CSSSI, Chinese Ceramics Society, and a membership of the council of CSSSI, the chair of the committee of Renewable Energy Branch of the Sichuan Institute of Electronics. He has published more than 80 peer-referred papers in the international journals and more than 10 presentations at the international conferences. He has more than 600 citations and 4 patents on andvanced materials for renewable energy sources.
