Biography
Yu Yating is of Associate Professor of Mechatronics Engineering at University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). She has also worked at Newcastle University (Newcastle upon Tyne, U.K.) in School of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering, as a visiting postdoctoral researcher; and worked for Research Laboratory of Electronics (RLE) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), as a visiting scientist. She is the director of the Joint Laboratory of Sensing Technology cooperated with Shanghai Lanbao Sensing Technology Ltd.Co. Dr. Yu attended UESTC as an undergraduate and received the degree of Ph.D. from UESTC in 2007. Her research in displacement eddy current sensor has been awarded the Science and technology progress prize of Sichuan province. Her academic research interests are nondestructive testing and evaluation and structural health monitoring.
