Belaynesh Teklay Gebremariam

Biography

Belaynesh Teklay is an Assistant Professor in Accounting at the Nottingham University Business School (NUBS) China.  Before joining The University of Nottingham Ningbo China, Belaynesh had taught various accounting modules in different colleges and universities in Ethiopia. In addition, she facilitated a number of executive education programs focusing on tax and audit. She prepared and published distance teaching materials for accounting, taxation and auditing related modules. She was also working as a senior government official and most recently as Deputy Director General of the Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Authority at a ministerial level. Her current research is in the areas of management accounting with a particular interest in corporate performance measures, managements accounting change and the effect of management accounting change on firm performance.
