Biography
I graduated in 2007 with BEng in Environmental Engineering from Hohai University in China, following which I continued my study in Environmental Hydraulics in the same university till 2009. In September 2009, I started my PhD study in Coastal Dynamics under the supervision of Prof. Nicholas Dodd in the University of Nottingham UK, and I obtained my PhD in 2012. I first joined the University of Nottingham Ningbo China in October 2012 as a teaching fellow in Applied Mathematics, and I was appointed as an assistant professor in Civil Engineering in August 2013. My expertise is mainly focused on coastal dynamics, particularly the beach morphodynamics: the dynamics of fluid interacting with erodible beaches. However, I have a broad range of research interests including coastal dynamics, surface water modelling and water environment management.
