Biography
Before joining The University of Nottingham, Kuan had a diverse background working with leading high-tech industries and academia. He had worked with GEC, Hitachi, Marconi and IBM. He had published in several top peer-reviewed journals, books and patents and had given numerous talks at international research conferences and seminars in science and engineering. He had led industrial projects in the fields of semiconductor electronics, nanotechnology and bioelectronics. Kuan had undertaken academic studies at the University of Oxford andMIT. During his studies he had taught quantum mechanics, semiconductor devices and technology, and power electronics. He is an NSFC reviewer and an external examiner for government funded projects.
