Biography
I joined my colleagues at UNNC in January 2009 after having worked in several countries such as Sweden, Norway, Uganda, India, and Saudi Arabia. My rich working history comprises of varied positions I’ve held in different countries. In Sweden and Norway I worked in the sales and marketing department for an international publishing company while still pursuing my undergraduate degree in business administration. After running my own small businesses in India, my first formal employment in an academic environment came in 1999 when my family and I moved to Uganda, East Africa. Here I worked for over 8 years in various capacities: lecturer, business department co-ordinator, accountant, chief accountant, business manager, and as an acting director for a vocational school (a project initiated by ADRA, an NGO). These key jobs helped me develop good interpersonal relations in cross-cultural settings and enhanced my communication skills. I soon came to be known as a “people’s person” by those who came in contact with me. I completed an MBA from Southern Adventist University, Tennessee, USA, specialising in Human Resource Management, a field of study that I came to enjoy and love. I have taught in several universities in Uganda and Saudi Arabia. My expertise lies in the field of Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour.
