Biography
Dr. Loke joins the School of Economics, UNNC in September 2011. She obtained her PhD in Economics from the University of Sussex, UK in 2006. Her PhD thesis was entitled ‘APEC Trade liberalisation: Open Regionalism, Non-binding Liberalisation and Unconditional MFN’. Prior to joining UNNC, she has lectured at the University of Malaya for 17 years during which she has taught and supervised students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Courses that she has lectured include Microeconomics, International Trade Theory and Economics of Regional Integration. Besides being actively involved in academic research, she has also experiences in other relevant areas such as being short-term consultant to the World Bank, Assistant Managing Editor for Malaysian Journal of Economic Studies and member of Private Sector Task Force for Free Trade Agreement of the Federation of Malaysia’s Manufacturers.
