Biography
Prof. Weimin Liu is on secondment to the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) campus. He received his bachelor’s degree from Huazhong Normal University, and his master’s degree from Lancaster University and doctorate in finance from the University of Manchester. Following his PhD study, he became a Lecturer and then a Senior Lecturer in Finance at the University of Manchester, UK. In 2007, he was appointed Professor of Finance at the University of Nottingham, UK. Prof. Liu has experience of teaching a wide range of topics and courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research interests include asset pricing, efficient market hypothesis tests, corporate finance, and mutual fund industry. Prof. Liu has published in leading international finance journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics (JFE) and the Review of Financial Studies (RFS).
