Biography

I started my academic life at Zhejiang University in 1985 whilst studying for a B.Eng. degree in Energy Engineering, following which I worked at Zhengzhou Design & Research Institute of Coal Mine and was appointed as an Assistant engineer in 1990. With two years' industrial experience on Heating and Water System Design, I returned to Zhejiang University in 1991 and started my M.Eng. degree study in Energy Engineering, following which I performed researching for my D.Eng. degree in Energy Engineering again at Zhejiang University. I was appointed as a University Post Doctoral Fellow in 1998 at the Chemical Engineering Department of the Ohio State University, following which I was appointed as a Visiting Scholar in 2000 at the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering of Clarkson University and transferred to a Ph.D. candidate in 2002 and got my Ph.D. in 2009. I was a research associate ever since till I was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China in 2012. I am a member of ASME and AAAR and Senior Member ofAICHE.  I am heavily involved with review works for 14 international Journals. I have carried out consultancy work for Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology.
