Biography
Dr. Hu Zhang is the Associate Professor of Materials Science and Engineering. He holds a bachelor degree in 2004 and a Ph.D degree in 2010 from University of Science and Technology Beijing. During 2007-2009, he had been doing research as a visiting student with Prof. Karl A. Gschneidner, Jr and Prof. Vitalij K. Pecharsky in Ames laboratory, USA. He was working as a postdoctor to study the magnetic properties and magnetocaloric effects of rare earth intermetallic compounds in Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2010 to 2012. He joined the School of Materials Science and Engineering, USTB in 2012, and was promoted as an Associate Professor in 2013.

Theoretical and experimental research on magnetocaloric materials.
