Biography
Deng Jiansong, a native of Weihai, Shandong Province, started his undergraduate study (five-year) at the Department of Mathematics, University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in September 1989 and received his bachelor’s degree after his early graduation in 1993. Then, Deng was recommended for doctoral study in Computer Aided Geometric Design at the Department of Mathematics, USTC with exemption from taking part in the matriculation test. After receiving his doctoral degree in 1998, Deng joined the faculty of USTC and since then has been working there. He has previously been to the CAD / CAM Centre of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (six months), the Geometric Modeling Group hosted by Professor Alan A. Ball of the University of Birmingham (2 years), and the Department of Computer Science at the University of Hong Kong to undertake research as a visiting fellow.
Research Interest
Deng is currently focused on the research of geometric modeling and design.
