Research Interest
Functional Nucleic Acid Biosensors: Study about the structures and functions of G-quadruplex DNAs and DNAzymes, development of functional nucleic acid-based biosensors, construction of nanosensors based on aptamer-linked nanoparticles and DNA-wrapped nanotubes.
DNA Logic Gates and Circuits: Design of DNA logic gates and computing circuits based on multi-stranded DNA helical structures, using chemical stimuli (Pb2+, K+, H+) to induce DNA structureal changes and give color or fluorescence readout for different logic operations.
Nanomechanics and Nanomedicine: Construction of DNA molecular machines and nanodevices via the duplex/quadruplex exchange, programmable assembly and functionalization of DNA nanoarchitectures and application for machines, design of DNA tetrahedra for medicine and protein delivery into mitochondria.
