Biography
Fanglin Liu: Ph.D, Professor.He graduated from Anhui Normal University in 1990, obtained a M.Sc degree in Ecology from Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1999, and received a Ph.D. in Zoology from Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2004. Before joining the Institute of Technological Biology and Agricultural Engineering Hefei Institutes of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011, he worked at the Research Institute of Resources Insects, Chinese Academy of Forestry and the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Science. His research revolves around the ecology of the insect-plant-microbe interkingdom interactions.Most of the work is designed to elucidate behavioral and physico-chemical mechanisms underlying interactions between honeybees and flowering plants, as well as phyllosphere microbiota, and to develop ecological techniques for natural management and sustainable agriculture. His work, Supported primarily by NNFC, 973 Program and National Sci-Tech Support Plan, has produced over 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals and 5 filed and issued patents.
