Biography
hi Yunyu, female, professor and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was born in April 1942. In 1965 she graduated from Specialty of Biophysics, Department of Physics, University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). From 1965 to 1970, she served as assistant researcher at Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ministry of Health of PRC; since 1970, she has been serving as teaching assistant, lecturer, associate professor and professor at USTC. She once went to University of Rome, Institute of Structural Chemistry of National Centre for Scientific Research of France, University of Groningen, and Laboratory for Structural Biology and Laboratory for Theoretical Chemistry of National Centre for Scientific Research of France for further study and cooperative research. She has published more than 100 papers in international high-level academic journals. At present she holds the position of standing member of Committee of Division of Biology and Medicine of CAS, chairman of Teaching Guiding Committee for Biological Science and Engineering Higher Education Institutions of Ministry of Education, and deputy director of Academic Committee of USTC.
Research Interest
Multidimensional NMR spectra and computational biology have been adopted to study protein structures related to major diseases or physiological function, relationship between dynamics and functions, and interactions among proteins, nucleic acid and ligand.
