Biography
Prof. SONG Weiguo is a member of New Century Excellent Talent Program of Ministry of Education, winner of the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Lu Jiaxi Young Talent Award, recipient of Anhui Youth Award for Science and Technology, and member of International Society of Fire Safety Science. Dr. Song received his BSc in Thermal Physics Engineering from University of Science and Technology of China in 1996 and his Ph.D. from USTC’s State Key Laboratory of Fire Science in 2001. He did his post-doctoral research in the Department of Statistics and Finance, USTC, in 2003. Since then Dr. Song has been associate professor, professor and doctoral supervisor at USTC’s State Key Laboratory of Fire Science.From August 2006 to February 2007 he was a visiting scholar in National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the US. Dr. Song has led and/or participated in several research projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
