Biography
Zhang Heping, male, born in Aug.1964 in Xishui, Hubei, is professor and Ph.D. supervisor. He obtained bachelor’s degree in Engineering Thermophysics from Tsinghua University in 1987 and doctoral degree in Engineering Thermophysics from USTC in 1995. Main research areas are theory of dynamical evolution of fire, building fire smoke movement simulation, the fire properties of building decoration materials, fire risk assessment and performance-based fire safety design. He is currently the executive vice director of State Key Laboratory of Fire Science, executive vice director of Dept. of Safety Science and Engineering, executive vice director of Heat Safety Advisory Training Centre of Administrative Center for China's Agenda 21, and vice director of CAS Thermal Safety Engineering Technology Research Center. He has won national and provincial science award for 6 times, including the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, the first prize of National Teaching Award, top grade award of Anhui Teaching Achievements Award, and 2 assessed scientific and technological achievements. He has published over 80 academic papers on national and international journals including 20 SCI and EI papers, and applied for 2 national patens.
