Biography
ZHANG Xiaochu is a professor at Cognitive Neuropsychology Laboratory,School of Life Sciences. He received his PhD. from University of Science and Technology of China in 2005, having conducted cognitive neuropsychological studies about the brain structures and functions related to the craving impulse and the regulation of nicotine dependence using magnetic resonance imaging, EEG, TDCS, and behavioral tasks. Dr. Zhang did research as a visiting scholar at the National Institute of Drug Abuse in the National Institutes of Health of the United States in 2005. Besides the basic research on the craving impulses and the regulation of nicotine dependence, he is also engaged in applied research on real-time neural signal feedback technology to improve the ability of nerve impulse control. So far, Dr. Zhang has published a total of 20 papers, including 15 SCI papers and seven as the first author.
