Biography
Prof. Dr. Kai Zhong is the deputy director of the magnet operation division at theHigh Magnetic Field Laboratory, CAS. He is the Chief of the MRI section, supervisingthe operation and research on a 9.4T high field magnetic resonance imaging system,the highest of its kind in China. He is a winner of the "Hundred Talents Program" and doctoral supervisor of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2014 He became a member of CAS Center for Excellence in Brain Science and Intelligence Technology. Professional Experience and Education Since 2009 Professor, High Magnetic Field Laboratory, CAS, 2007-2009 Dept. of Biomedical Magnetic Resonance, Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg 2005-2007 Dept. of Radiology, University Medical Center, Freiburg, 2002-2005 Institute of biophysics, CAS. 2000-2002 Postdoc, Brookhaven Medical center 1994-2001 Ph.D, Chemistry department, NewYork University 1988-1992 B.S. Department of Chemistry, Peking University Opportunities Graduate student and Postdoc positions are available in the MRI lab. Students and postdocs with strong background in physics, chemistry and medical imaging are encouraged. Applicants with hand-on experiences in MRI related fields are highly preferred.
