Biography
Zhou Gentao, doctor, professor and Ph.D. supervisor at School of Earth and Space Sciences, USTC. BS. Dept. of Chemistry, Anqing Normal College, Jul.1988; MS. In inorganic chemistry, Dept. of Applied Chemistry, USTC, Jun.1993; PhD. In Geochemistry, Dept. of Earth and Space Sciences, USTC, Jan.1999; Jan.2002-Jun.2004, research fellow, Dept. of Chemistry of Bar-Ilan University, Israel, Chinese University of Hongkong. His main research involves numbers of interdisciplinary fields: biological and biomimetic mineralogy - low mineral chemical synthesis - Nanomaterials - isotope geochemistry. He won the Second Prize of National Natural Science Award in 2004 and the First Prize of the 5th Anhui Excellent Papers of Natural Science in 2007. He is also the lecturer of Crystallography and Instrumental Analysis. He has presided over numbers of projects of National Natural Science Foundation and provincial foundation. He has published over 70 papers on core journals at home and abroad like Geochimica et Cosmochimica Actaã€Chemical Geologyã€American Mineralogistã€J. Mater. Chem.ã€Crystal Growth & Design., which have been cited for over 230 times through SCI retrieval. Currently he is taking charge of Surface Projects of National Natural Science Foundation, CAS Innovation Project and 973 Project.
