Biography
"Mr. Doug is responsible for managing all aspects of Veeva Systems' Asia. Doug has more than 25 years of practical experience in the IT industry, 17 years of living and working in Asia. Prior to joining Veeva Systems, Doug served Netezza (now acquired by IBM) for seven years to help Netezza open up more than 150 corporate customers in the Asia Pacific region. Doug has a wealth of practical experience in helping Asia Pacific customers to gain insight into and leverage IT solutions to improve business management. Prior to joining Netezza, Doug worked for Siebel, NCR and several small start-ups. Doug holds an MBA from Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University. CINDY ZHANG GENERAL MANAGER, CHINA Cindy Zhang is responsible for all of Veeva's operations in China, including strategy, product development, marketing, sales and professional services. Prior to joining Veeva, Cindy served as Oracle Product Manager and Senior Development Manager for 12 years at Oracle Corporation. In the meantime, Cindy was responsible for the global product strategy development of Oracle's collaborative application system, helping multiple partners worldwide to successfully use the product and provided full support for the marketing and sales of products in Greater China. Cindy is also a technical expert in databases, software engineering, and cloud computing. She has led the transnational development team to complete a number of product development efforts based on different operating system platforms and to help customers and partners successfully use Oracle products on cloud computing platforms. Cindy graduated from Peking University with a bachelor's degree in computer science. In addition, Cindy holds a master's degree in computer science from Southern Methodist University and an MBA from the Haas School of Business (UC Berkeley) at the University of California at Berkeley."
