Rob Brainin

Biography

Before joining WuXi NextCODE, Rob was vice president and general manager of Life Sciences and Applied Genomics at Illumina, having previously served as VP and lead of the Arrays Business. Rob has also held senior roles at Life Technologies, Invitrogen and Thermo Fisher. In all these roles he led the expansion of the applications of genomic data to new fields and to serve the needs of growing types of users. Rob will be leading all of our operations including commercial execution, site operations, and user experience as well as the on-boarding of data now that our platform is reaching ever more people. He will therefore be focused on executing at the very core of our mission and addressing the big challenge that we are uniquely positioned to solve: how to turn genomic data into insights that can help people to live better, healthier lives. He holds a degree in economics and a law degree from Harvard Law School.
