1. Phylogenetic reconstruction of fern lineages (e.g., Dryopteridaceae, Tectariaceae, and Blechnaceae) 2. Comprehensive study on East Asia endemic fern groups (mainly at the generic level) 3. Conservation and phylogeny of rare and endangered fern groups 4. Fern flora of Kenya.
